Mandatory registration of the role of property manager in the Crossroad Bank for Enterprises (BCE/KBO) from 1 April 2017
A Royal Decree enforcing associations of co-owners to register the role of property manager from 1 April 2017 was published in the Belgian Official Gazette on Friday, 24 March 2017. Every association of co-owners must register its property manager in the BCE/KBO, whether he/she/it is a professional property manager or a co-owner appointed as the property manager.
What does this mean in practice?
Every new association of co-owners must register its property manager in the BCE/KBO no later than the day before he/she/it actually begins his/her/its role.
For existing associations of co-owners, there is a one-year transition period for registering the role of property manager. However, it is recommended to complete the registration as soon as possible so that the association of co-owners and its property manager are properly registered in the BCE/KBO.
Property managers must be registered in the BCE/KBO via a recognised business counter. Formalis can complete all of the administrative formalities.
What do you need to do?
Contact your regional Formalis counter and we will take care of your request to register the role of property manager in the BCE/KBO.
